Onan. The rice variety fade away over time, and
revoked later by Nammazhvar and renamed as
Kattuyanam. The Kattuyanam paddy crop grows
up to seven feet tall and can grow to a level where
an elephant can hide. That is why this paddy field
is named as Kattuyanam (meaning wild
elephant in Tamil).
