Healthy karnataka style wanghi bath.
INGREDIENTS :
Mappilli Samba Aval - 2 cups.
Brinjal - 5.
Ghee.
Mustard seeds, cashew cumin seeds, curry leaves, onion, tomatoes.
To Roast and Grind (Wanghi Bath Mix) .
Corriander seeds.
Shahi jeera.
Dry coconut, cinnamon, cloves, black cardamom, red chillis, pepper.
METHOD OF COOKING :
1.Wash and soak Aval in water.
2.Cut brinjal in pieces.
3.Slice onion and tomatoes.
4.In a kadai pour ghee, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, cashews, curry leaves and saute for a minute.
5.Add sliced onion and tomatoes and saute for 2 mts.
6.Add little water and cut brinjal and suate for 5 mts.
7.Cook for 2 mts.
8.Add wanghi bath mix to it and add aval and salt and saute for 5 mt.
9. Wanghi bath will be ready.
10.Garnish with corriander leaves and serve with raita.
Traditional sweets.
INGREDIENTS :
KarunKuruvai Aval - 1 cup.
Ghee - 1/4 cup.
Nattu chakkarai or jaggery powder - 1/2 cup.
Badam, pista, cashew and raisins.
METHOD OF COOKING :
1.Fry Aval in ghee and grind it to a coarse powder.
2.To this powder add jaggery powder add melted ghee and nicely stir it.
3.Add roasted cashew pista badam and raisins.
4.Mix it well.
5.Make laddus.
