An Indian rice pudding made with rice, milk & sugar.
INGREDIENTS :
Poongar rice – 1 small Cup
Jaggery or Nattu Chakra – ½ cup
Ghee
Cashews
Dry Coconut (Copra)
Coconut milk
METHOD OF COOKING :
- Grind the Poongar rice to big kurunai.
- Cook the kurunai in pressure cooker for 6 whistles.
- Heat a Pan and add ghee and cooked rice add little water and cook for 5 mts.
- In a Pan add jaggery or nattu chakra and little water and boil until it becomes a syrup. Add rice to this syrup and cook for 15 mts.
- Add little ghee, coconut milk.
- Finally temper with cashew nuts and coconut bits.
